As a privately owned organization recognized for excellence in in-home personal care, we value integrity, precision, and a commitment to supporting our mission of quality care. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the financial health of our agency by ensuring accurate accounting records and supporting our finance operations. You will work in a collaborative, hybrid environment, including some in person daytime hours, based in Albany, NY, contributing directly to our ongoing success and compliance in the healthcare sector.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining and updating spreadsheets, databases, and financial filing systems Managing general ledger activity, supporting schedules, and financial reports Processing invoices, accounts payable entries, and check runs Recording credit card expenses and merchant account statements Recording cash receipts and performing system reconciliations Assisting with payroll processing and related reporting Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements Contributing to budgeting and financial forecasting processes Assisting with limited accountnts receivable activity Preparing and producing compliance, regulatory, state, and payroll benefits allocation reports
Requirements Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience as a bookkeeper, staff accountant, or similar accounting role Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Experience with accounts payable processing, such as invoice entry and check runs Experience supporting payroll processing Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software Authorization to work in the
United States Preferred Qualifications:
