You will be expected to develop a strong relationship with project managers to help them reach their financial goals on projects. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent attention to detail and follow-through. Experience with project costing and reporting is essential, as is familiarity with general ledger/accounting software. Vantagepoint experience preferred. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for project-related financial functions and reporting, including but not limited to, project financial performance, variance analysis, accounts receivable, and financial forecasting Responsible for all project set up, invoicing set up, and planning and budgeting set up Assist PMs with proposals, especially with regard to billing rates Assist PMs with preparation of contracts and amendments Participate in ongoing project reviews with Project Managers Assist Project Managers with contract coordination Prepare monthly revenue calculations Assist Finance Manager with evaluating monthly revenue calculations Monthly invoicing Diversity reporting Manage all consultant billing and A/R queries Prepare monthly Goals Reports Skills and Experience Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles Understanding of accounting cycles and adherence to GAAP Detailed knowledge of project contracts for fee structures and billing requirements Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Deltek, and other applications related to project finance and accounting Must be an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, shifting from task to task quickly and efficiently, and working in a high-volume environment Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related a plus Experience working in A/E firm or similar service industry a plus Reasoning Ability Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Salary Range At MWA Architects, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within your role. The base pay range for this role is between $35.00 and $39.00 per hour and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
