We are seeking a Project Accounting Lead to oversee financial operations across multiple projects and support a growing team within a dynamic organization. This role will be responsible for managing job costing, financial reporting, and team leadership while partnering closely with project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee project accounting functions, including job costing, billing, and financial tracking across multiple projects Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, reporting, and reconciliations Monitor project financial performance, including budget vs. actual analysis and forecasting Prepare and review financial reports, including standard and ad hoc reporting for leadership Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, to support financial planning and decision-making Lead and mentor a team of project accountants, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback Analyze complex accounting issues and implement effective solutions Drive process improvements and assist with implementation of new policies and procedures Support overall financial strategy in partnership with accounting leadershipQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or Construction Management) 5+ years of project accounting experience At least 1 year of experience leading, mentoring, or supervising staff Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools Strong understanding of project-based accounting principles and financial reporting Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
