Salary Range:
$73,300.00 - $110,000.00 Job Purpose American Honda Finance is seeking a Sales Tax Accountant four our Corporate Tax division. This position allows AHFC to be in compliance with sales tax statues by ensuring the accurate assessment and remittance of sales tax for lease vehicles owned by AHFC and other entities and by maintaining tax rates and rules in AHFC's lease and loan system. Key Accountabilities Key Accountabilities include but not limited to Review sales tax reports for accuracy, prepare and file monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual sales and use tax returns for all required states including supporting schedules for audit trail purposes. Review returns filed by sales tax staff for accuracy and compliance Create, maintain, and run Data Warehouse queries. Gather and organize sales tax audit documentation, support supervisor in sales tax and bad debt refund audits. Provide customer service support to service centers Qualifications, Experience, and Skills We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. To bring the future to Honda as a Tax Accountant, you must have: Minimum Education Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration Three to five years' experience in multi-state sales tax filing PC proficient in MS Office environment (Word, Access, and Excel), AI and automated solutions Applied knowledge of accounting principles and audit procedures Effective communication skills with all levels of associates and management Other Job Specific Skills History of timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks Knowledge and experience with CASS and AF preferred. Ability to organize and manage multiple due dates Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and auditing procedures Working Conditions Worksytle - 80/20 (4 days in office 1 day remote) Torrance, location What differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?
