Duties Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping. Oversee payroll management activities utilizing systems like ADP, UltiPro, Ceridian, or Kronos, including benefits administration and payroll tax compliance. Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvements. Assist with internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and support audit preparations by providing necessary documentation. Support corporate accounting functions including general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end closing procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and payroll departments to ensure seamless data entry and accurate reporting. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred. Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting concepts. Extensive knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar platforms. Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP or UltiPro and benefits administration processes. Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes, account reconciliation techniques, and double-entry bookkeeping principles. Experience with SOX compliance requirements and internal control procedures. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Proficiency in data entry tasks such as 10-key typing along with attention to detail for journal entries and ledger management.
