Senior Accountant

Description Senior Accountant-Location:

Indianapolis metro area (remote flexibility for local candidates) Join a highly visible accounting team where you'll partner across several departments to drive accurate reporting, strengthen controls, and improve processes. This role offers direct exposure to leadership and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how the business operates. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, while helping elevate processes and systems across the organization. What You'll Do + Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies, with a focus on compensation and operating expenses + Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and detailed account analyses + Perform monthly variance and fluctuation analysis, identifying insights and resolving discrepancies + Own bonus and benefit accruals, partnering cross-functionally to validate data and secure approvals + Help expand and enhance month-end and quarter-end close processes and checklists + Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls documentation + Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements + Serve as a subject matter expert on financial systems and reporting tools + Collaborate across departments to strengthen processes and ensure alignment with business goals Requirements What You Bring + Bachelor's degree in Accounting + 3+ years of progressive accounting experience + CPA or CPA candidate highly preferred + Strong knowledge of US GAAP + Proven analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and drive resolution + Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office tools + Experience with large ERP/GL systems is a plus + Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally + Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
