This role manages general ledger activities, supports the month-end close process, and assists with audits, tax filings, and financial analysis within a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Prepare and analyze financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows. Reconcile complex accounts including cash, prepaid expenses, and intercompany accounts Maintain internal controls and accounting policies/procedures Assist with audits and support tax filings Perform financial analysis and ad hoc reporting using advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas) Respond to benefit plan-related inquiries (union environment exposure a plus)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting 3-5 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls Experience with ERP systems; preferably Oracle Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
Pay:
$36.00 - $40.00 per hour
