Senior Accountant | Hybrid | Chesterton, IN We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a long-term opportunity supporting a growing Transport & Warehouse division in Chesterton, Indiana. This organization is a global leader in multimodal logistics and supply chain solutions, supporting customers across transportation, warehousing, intermodal, and managed services. With operations across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, the company is known for delivering innovative logistics solutions, operational excellence, and a collaborative team environment focused on long-term growth and stability.
Location:
Chesterton, IN Schedule:
Monday-Friday | Hybrid Schedule (Remote Fridays)
Pay Rate:
$75,000-$83,000 yearly
Contract-to-Hire:
Approximately 6 months with strong potential for permanent conversion Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing fixed asset accounting, capitalization, and depreciation
  • Performing intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close activities
  • Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting
  • Partnering with operations accounting teams and external auditors
  • Providing support and guidance to offshore accounting staff Qualified candidates should have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4-6 years of general accounting experience
  • Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis
  • Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
  • ERP experience, preferably Oracle Fusion
  • Strong professionalism, attention to detail, and a stable work history Interview process includes a video interview followed by an onsite interview.
