POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Accountant will support the financial operations of a growing multi-entity organization. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, managing intercompany transactions, preparing accrual-based financial statements, and supporting leadership with reliable financial reporting. The position requires strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and accrual accounting principles. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the CFO to ensure that financial records are accurate, organized, and prepared in accordance with internal management reporting needs. This is a hybrid role that includes both remote work and on-site responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and categorize financial transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment
• Prepare and post journal entries, including recurring and adjusting entries
• Record accruals and assist with month-end close procedures
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions between related businesses
• Track income and expenses by class or department for internal reporting purposes
• Assist with payroll-related reconciliations and financial integration
• Reconcile financial data from external operational systems into QuickBooks Online
• Assist the CFO with preparation of financial reports and cash flow analysis
• Process incoming mail and supporting documentation when on-site
• Support ad-hoc financial reporting requests from leadership

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 5-7 years of professional accounting experience
• QuickBooks Online Certification
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles
• Experience working with multiple entities or intercompany accounting
