& Life Insurance 401(k) with employer match Hybrid work schedule in a stable international bank Position Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join the Accounting & Finance Department. This role is essential to supporting the organization's financial operations during a critical period, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and timely month-end close activities. Key Responsibilities Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate accruals. Prepare and file regulatory reports for the Federal Reserve Bank, State of Florida, and U.S. Department of Commerce. Submit regular and ad-hoc financial reports to the Head Office. Maintain and reconcile Fixed Assets and Prepaid GL Accounts. Review daily COB reports in T24 and escalate discrepancies. Prepare documentation for internal and external audits. Monitor vendor management processes and ensure due diligence documentation (W9/W8) is up to date. Coordinate and distribute annual 1099 forms. Process accounts payable and prepare related journal entries. Ensure compliance with BSA, AML, and OFAC regulations. Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in banking accounting, with a strong focus on month-end close. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles related to Prepaids, Accruals, and Fixed Assets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
