• Full-time About the Role We are a well-established construction company seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team.

This is a hands-on position at the core of our financial operations — you'll own the full accounting cycle and serve as a key resource for both finance and operations leadership. The right candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, comfort with the pace and complexity of construction finance, and the initiative to keep things running accurately and efficiently without constant oversight. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts payable — vendor invoicing, approvals, and payment runs Oversee accounts receivable — client billing, collections, and aging reports Process weekly payroll accurately and on time Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns; manage quarterly estimates Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and produce monthly close reports Track job costs and assist project managers with budget-to-actual reporting Support employee onboarding, benefits administration, and basic HR recordkeeping Maintain employee files, PTO tracking, and compliance documentation Assist with annual reviews and liaise with outside CPA firm as needed Identify process improvements and implement best practices across finance functions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA candidate a plus 4+ years of accounting experience; construction or trade industry background strongly preferred QuickBooks Online proficiency required Solid working knowledge of GAAP, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting Solid expereince and understanding of construction-specific accounting practices. Experience processing weekly payroll through a recognized payroll platform Familiarity with NM state tax requirements, sales & use tax, and contractor compliance Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Discreet, professional, and comfortable handling confidential HR and financial information Benefits $80,000
