Job Description

Senior Accountant Our client, a fast-growing AI technology company operating in a highly dynamic environment, is seeking a Senior Accountant to help build and scale its accounting and finance function.
Location:
Menlo Park, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days/week in the office.
Job Description:
This role will be a key contributor across month-end close, revenue accounting, and financial reporting, with exposure to multiple accounting areas as the organization continues to grow. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
Lead month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules Perform general ledger account reconciliations, investigate and resolve variances Support revenue and accounts receivable accounting, including review of customer contracts for billing and revenue implications Prepare and maintain revenue recognition documentation and schedules Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, external auditors, and legal partners to ensure accurate accounting records Assist with the development and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Support quarterly and annual audit activities and respond to audit requests Assist with the preparation of financial statement disclosures and reporting support Support ongoing SOX compliance and control execution Take on ad hoc accounting projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
Requirements:
3+ years of progressive accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred Strong understanding of
U.S. GAAP
; revenue accounting experience preferred Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations Proficiency in Excel and general accounting systems Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
