Senior Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description An established CPA firm is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (Tax) The Senior Accountant will work closely with firm leadership, support a diverse client base, and contribute to the firm's continued growth and success. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, S-Corporation, and trust tax returns. Research federal and state tax regulations and stay current on tax law changes. Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy. Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, answer questions, and explain tax results and recommendations. Identify tax planning opportunities and collaborate with leadership on implementation strategies. Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist with audits and related correspondence. Maintain accurate and organized client records within the firm's workflow systems. Collaborate with accounting, tax, and bookkeeping teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables. Support process improvements and assist with mentoring junior staff when needed. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience within a CPA firm. Strong experience preparing business and individual tax returns. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Preferred CPA license or progress toward CPA certification. Experience with tax planning and tax research. Prior client-facing experience in a professional services environment.
