$90,000•$100,000 per year Job Details•Job Details We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to contribute to a rapidly growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing all aspects of accounting operations, including multi-state tax, sales and use, and maintaining fixed asset schedules. The position requires a thorough understanding of general ledger functions, the ability to prepare and record complex journal entries, and strong analytical skills. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving our financial planning. Responsibilities 1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and taxes. 2. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. 3. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and statement of cash flows. 4. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and controls as well as regulatory requirements. 5. Handle multi-state tax filings and coordinate audits, as necessary. 6. Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insight to support business decisions. 7. Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize the financial close process. 8. Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus. 2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry. 3. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 4. Proficiency in managing multi-state tax and sales and use and maintaining fixed asset schedules 5. Proven experience with general ledger functions, preparing journal entries, and financial reporting. 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 7. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team. 8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. 9. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel. 10. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
