Job Description

Our client in Summit, NJ is seeking a Sr. Accountant for a 6 month contract, with the possibility for extension. This is a hybrid opportunity.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
Support month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysisReconcile bank and credit card accounts; investigate and resolve discrepanciesAssist with financial statements, audit support, and coordination with external auditorsEnsure timely invoice processing and proper expense classificationSupport system workflows and data integrity across accounting and operational platformsPartner with internal teams and external advisors on tax, reporting, and compliance mattersReview indirect tax filings and assist with jurisdictional analysisIdentify process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controlsOversee work performed by remote/offshore accounting supportContribute to ad hoc reporting and special projects
