Hybrid (2 days in-office / 3 days remote). Initial onboarding will be fully onsite for the first few weeks to establish strong working relationships and processes. Overview A growing, mission-driven organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis. This role partners closely with the accounting team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial results, maintain strong internal controls, and drive continuous process improvement. Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations, including investigation and resolution of discrepancies Perform financial analysis to evaluate performance, identify trends, and highlight opportunities for improvement. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve accounting issues. Manage large volumes of financial data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Support system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements, including data validation efforts. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment. Support ad hoc projects and analysis as needed. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of public accounting experience or 4+ years of progressive accounting experience Technical Skills Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced) Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Great Plains, or similar platforms Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex data sets Process-oriented mindset with an understanding of downstream impacts Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships Self-motivated, with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset Preferred Qualifications Public accounting background
