Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant - Direct Hire - Construction Industry A well-established company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing Finance and Accounting team. This is a highly visible, hands-on role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, offering strong exposure to leadership and involvement in key financial operations. With approximately 150 employees company-wide and a collaborative in-office team of 25, this is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional looking to take on a broad, impactful role within a stable and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead general ledger and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness Oversee and contribute to the month-end close process, including financial review and reporting Perform detailed overhead analysis and provide actionable insights Support and contribute to budgeting and forecasting initiatives Coordinate and assist with year-end audit preparation and external auditor requests Manage payroll and accounts payable for one division Partner closely with operations on time and materials (T&M) slips, change orders, and client billings Complete and manage customer prequalification requests Support the CFO with financial analysis, reporting, and special projects

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within construction or a project-based environment Strong understanding of job costing is a plus Advanced Excel skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across departments High attention to detail with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience with Timberline/Sage is a plus
