Job Description

Senior Corporate Accountant at Blue Cross of Idaho in Meridian, Idaho, United States Job Description Blue Cross of Idaho is looking for a Financial Accounting Analyst III. This position offers hands on experience in Investment accounting and reporting, tax research and preparation, compiling and reviewing financial statements, and analyzing other complex financial information as requested. The ideal candidate is solutions-oriented, demonstrates a willingness to learn, works independently with limited supervision, and enjoys collaborating with other team members. This role reports to the Manager, Accounting/Finance. The position is located in Meridian, Idaho. Hybrid work schedule is supported. #LI-Hybrid To be considered for this opportunity, you have:
Experience:
5 years of public accounting experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Licenses/Certifications:
CPA To thrive in this position, you bring: Skill in reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling financial data The ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic setting Problem-solving skills with the capacity to suggest practical solutions Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including executive-level presentations Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail A collaborative mindset and an eagerness to build relationships across finance, treasury, and actuarial teams In this role, we will ask you to: Support in the preparation of financial statements, insurance industry financial reports, tax filings and various other schedules and reports Research and interpret accounting guidance on complex accounting and investment issues Perform a variety of accounting tasks including interpreting data for input into accounting software Prepare monthly reconciliations and analyze variances Assist in the preparation of schedules for internal and external audits Perform other duties as requested As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is $78,064 to $117,095. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance). The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, travel requirements, internal equity, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
