Job Description

Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Position provides direct supervision of purchasing/accounting function that handles research funds, check requests, travel documents, purchase orders, payroll and accounting documentation.
Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Formulates grant and study budgets according to established norms, enters documentation, secures approvals and establishes multidisciplinary research project control. Authorizes expenses on grant studies and related departmental or project study accounts. Process documents such as check requests, travel documents, purchase orders, blanket orders, invoice statements and various types of documents handled through office. Records, maintains and process functions related to various equipment used in accounting processes. Processes payroll and appointments for academic and staff personnel. Maintains departmental personnel files and assists with benefits administration. May assist staff responsible for purchasing, payroll and/or accounting. Distributes and screens mail, routing to appropriate staff. Copies documents for distribution for signature.
