Senior Fund Accountant| Venture Capital | San Francisco | Hybrid A growing early-stage venture capital firm is seeking a finance and accounting professional to join its collaborative, high-performing team. The firm invests across software, AI, fintech, infrastructure, offering strong exposure to the startup and venture ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with partners and leadership across fund accounting, investor reporting, portfolio analysis, audit, and operational strategy. The role offers meaningful ownership, broad exposure across the investment platform, a hybrid schedule, competitive compensation, bonus potential, and strong long-term growth opportunity. Responsibilities + Support fund accounting activities including capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and NAV reporting + Assist with investor reporting, audits, tax coordination, and fund administration + Support portfolio monitoring, valuation analysis, and investment reporting + Assist with SPVs, co-investment vehicles, SAFEs, and convertible instruments + Help drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes + Improve workflows, reporting processes, and operational controls + Partner closely with leadership and external service providers on key finance initiatives For fastest consideration, reach out to Michelle Espejo via email or LinkedIn. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field + 3-5+ years of experience in public accounting (venture capital with private equity clients), or fund accounting + Strong understanding of fund accounting concepts, including waterfalls, carried interest, and management fees + Knowledge of ASC 946 and investment company accounting standards preferred + Experience supporting audits and financial reporting processes + Strong Excel and analytical skills + Ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced, high-ownership environment + CPA preferred but not required Interested or even just curious?
