Job Description

Senior SEC Reporting Analyst Our client, a rapidly growing AI technology company operating in a highly regulated environment, is seeking a Senior SEC Reporting Analyst to support external financial reporting and compliance activities.
Location:
Menlo Park, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days/week in the office.
Job Description:
This role will play a critical part in preparing public filings, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, and strengthening internal controls as the organization continues to scale. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable partnering cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead preparation, review, and filing of periodic SEC reports, including quarterly and annual filings Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and management discussion materials Ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements Coordinate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, legal, and external auditors to support timely filings Support quarterly reviews and annual audits by responding to auditor requests and inquiries Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy Assess and mitigate financial reporting risks and support internal controls over financial reporting Research technical accounting matters and prepare related accounting memoranda Maintain documentation supporting reporting conclusions and compliance requirements Support ad hoc financial reporting and compliance projects as needed
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in financial reporting or SEC reporting within a public company environment Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements Experience supporting the preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced reporting environment Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
