Providing quality and professional service to our clients.
Preparation of individual, partnership, S-corporation and nonprofit tax returns.
Working with senior members of the firm on corporate, trust/fiduciary, estate and gift tax returns.
Preparation of adjusting journal entries and financial statements for tax or financial reporting purposes.
Providing attestation services including Audit, Review, Compilation and Agreed-Upon Procedures under the guidance of firm partners or managers.
Continuous analysis of tax situations to identify possible tax strategy changes.
Identifying, understanding and delivering the service that meets the needs of client.
Timely and effective communication to clients and firm management.
Assisting with training and development of interns and staff accountants.
Analyzing internal firm procedures and recommending changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures. Qualifications and Skills
Strong proficiency in accounting concepts, basic financial statements and trial balance.
Familiarity with common Federal and Massachusetts tax codes, rules, regulations and elections.
Emerging tax research skills and exposure to more complex tax situations
Working knowledge of audit and review procedures, documentation, and financial reporting standards (FASB, GASB).
Proficient in using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strict attention to detail, and able to self review.
Adaptable to changing IT environments, programs and standards.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
CPA or CPA candidate, a plus.
At least four years of related experience.
Experience with Thomson Reuters Suite a plus (UltraTax CS, GoFileRoom, Engagement Manager, Virtual Office CS, NetStaff CS, Practice CS).
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
