Great opportunities for some, no doubt. Not everyone wants to be part of a huge firm, though. If you're a CPA (or EA) and fall into the second category, you might be considering your options. There's an independent firm that have 70 staff and a client base similar to what you'll find in a Top 10 Firm. Their systems and tech are also up there with the bigger firms. We're helping them hire two Senior Tax Associates. These are generalist positions and would suit someone who wants to broaden their skill set in Public Accounting. You'll get exposure to a range of returns - 1040s, 1041s 1120s, 1065s and 1120. It will be pure prep to start, but once you're settled in, you'll pick up some review work too. You'll get 55 hour busy season weeks, reduced summer hours and flex schedules (including fully remote options). It would suit a CPA candidate or EA with at least 3 years' experience in Public Accounting. Here's the part most people get wrong: you don't need to tick every box to introduce yourself.
