Job Description
Robert Half Contracts Finance and Accounting Division is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join a great construction firm in Roseville for a contract Sr Accountant position! This Sr Accountant would be reporting directly to the Controller and be able to work hybrid.
Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and financial modeling) to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and support decision-making.
Prepare and analyze cash reports, monitor daily cash activity, and assist with cash forecasting and reconciliation.
Review journal entries and supporting schedules prepared by other team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
Assist with audit preparation, including gathering documentation, preparing audit schedules, and responding to auditor inquiries.
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Support financial reporting by preparing supporting schedules, reconciliations, and management reports.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
