STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid) $55,000- $65,000 Our client is a well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals remain independent and receive quality care within their communities. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Staff Accountant will play an integral role within the finance department, supporting accounts receivable, revenue recognition, collections, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Manage accounts receivable processes, including monthly participant billing and statement preparation Monitor and post incoming payments and remittances Assist with collection efforts through communication with participants, families, and internal teams Analyze participant funding sources and eligibility changes Prepare monthly revenue entries and related reconciliations Complete monthly journal entries and support month-end close activities Maintain petty cash and banking transactions Perform account analysis and assist with financial reporting Serve as backup support for finance administrative functions as needed Assist with special projects and process improvements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required 2-3+ years of accounting experience Experience with full-cycle accounting functions Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities #
