STAFF TAX ACCOUNTANT
Magellan Tax, a division of T3A Tax, is seeking a Staff Tax Accountant to join our growing firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build their public accounting experience while working with a diverse client base and a team of experienced tax professionals. The ideal candidate has a foundation in tax and accounting and is eager to expand their technical expertise. In this role, you will assist with tax preparation, tax planning, and compliance engagements for individuals and businesses while gaining valuable exposure to a wide range of tax matters and opportunities for long-term career growth within the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare individual and business tax returns Assist with tax planning projects Prepare financial statements and supporting workpapers Support tax compliance and research projects Assist with responses to IRS and state notices Maintain accurate client records and documentation Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional client service
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 2+ years of accounting or public accounting experience preferred Understanding of individual and business taxation Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Public accounting experience CPA candidate or interest in pursuing CPA certification Experience with tax preparation software Experience with QuickBooks
