Job Description
Staff Accountant - Austin (Hybrid) | $80k to $90k 4 years' Public Accounting Experience Required + CPA/EA Preferred Busy season is something you can't get away from in public accounting, with the 50 to 60 hours during this period the norm. But what you can do is make sure you're compensated for these extra hours, at this firm you're paid hourly so be sure with every hour you're doing over 40 you'll be rewarded. Don't worry that doesn't mean your busy season will be crazy, it'll usually be 50 to 55 hours with a few weeks of 60 when the deadline is really close. They're a growing firm that's been around for over 20 years, a truly regional firm with over 5 offices across the state of Texas and as they're always growing this means that your career won't be stagnated there. You won't be pigeonholed to just do tax either, you'll be doing a truly varied position including tax prep, tax review, general accounting work across industries from ranching, oil and gas & medical. At this firm you will be client facing so someone who enjoys that side of public accounting and thrives on relationship building would work well. Here you'll work on a flexible hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home whilst benefiting from a bonus structure on top of hourly pay, unlimited CPA, Healthcare package, PTO schedule with 9 public holidays, 401k match and life and disability insurance.
