Full Job Description Staff Accountant FLSA Type:
Exempt (salaried) position not eligible for overtime.
Position Type:
Full-time, salaried position. This position is a hybrid work environment.
Compensation:
$70,000 - $90,000 Annual Salary + potential for up to 10% discretionary annual bonus
Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for various financial tasks utilizing AP, NetSuite, Salesforce, Excel, and other related systems for processing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash application, and general ledger transactions accurately and timely. Reconciling general ledger accounts and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Essential Functions:

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Process and reconcile AR customer and program accounts and related accounts including customer invoicing, payment applications, account reconciliations. Process accounts payable PO and Non-PO invoices accurately and timely utilizing our accounts payable software. Research and reconcile vendor statements to AP transaction records. Customer service for internal customers and vendors. Record accounting transactions for subsidiary corporations. Prepare and process general ledger journals for month end closing. Month end and year end closing Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules for month-end closing. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues identified during the reconciliation process ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Financial Controls Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards to safeguard company assets and maintain integrity in financial reporting. Other duties Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as requested. Maintains a team player mentality - completes other duties as requested.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite. Excellent diligence and ability to meet targeted deadlines. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Office Environment:
This position is primarily based in an open office environment with typical office conditions; however, may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
Hybrid position:
This position is a flexible work model that combines remote and on-site work. When working remotely, the employee is required to have a workspace free of distraction during work hours to perform job duties.
Physical Demands:
Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, performing tasks on a computer, the ability to move within the office to attend meetings, access equipment, or interact with colleagues.
