• Opportunity to grow within a collaborative accounting team supporting a national organization About the Role Spring Education Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations and financial reporting across a multi-site organization.

This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely completion of month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations. As a member of the Accounting team, you will gain exposure to the full general ledger cycle while supporting areas such as cash, accruals, payroll, and financial analysis. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional looking to build foundational experience and grow within a dynamic environment.

• This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office and two days remote
• Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations & Financial Close
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP and internal controls
• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation within ERP systems
• Prepare bank reconciliations and support cash management activities
• Support accounting processes across areas such as cash, accruals, and payroll Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Assist with analysis of account fluctuations and variances
• Prepare reports and support internal financial reporting needs
• Respond to inquiries from field operations related to billing and payments Systems & Process Support
• Support implementation and ongoing management of cash management systems and workflows
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support automation initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation of accounting processes and procedures Audit & Compliance
• Assist with year-end audit processes by preparing documentation and supporting schedules
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies Collaboration & Support
• Partner with accounting and finance team members across functions
• Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 1-2+ years of general ledger or public accounting experience preferred
• Understanding of GAAP principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with NetSuite, Blackline, or similar ERP systems
• Experience in a multi-site or multi-location environment Key Skills & Attributes
