Summary:

This position reports financial performance, performs various accounting and banking duties, and provides financial expertise to others in the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Close and report for a large agribusiness as well as numerous smaller entities. Review accounting data for accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Reconcile accounts to detail. Determine required general ledger entries. Prepare financial statements for management review. Prepare personal financial statements for company owners Manage daily bank transfers between checking accounts and a line of credit Prepare bank reporting documentation that supports company borrowing levels Analyze financial performance. Take ownership of financial reporting responsibilities, identify and explain factors that drive results. Record the acquisition and disposal of fixed assets. Ensure accurate cost and class life values are established. Provide accounting guidance to off-site clerical staff when atypical situations occur Provide support for an annual budgeting process including data aggregation, expenditure analysis and schedule preparation Prepare documentation for lenders' semi-annual collateral inspections Seek out ways to improve financial processes. Demonstrate a desire to improve quality, speed and efficiency. Participate in meetings where it will be necessary to explain financial concepts or issues, provide progress reports and receive instructions Prepare work papers and provide information that support the annual financial audit Processing payroll Ad hoc projects

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A minimum of three to five years of accounting experience is required. Feedyard or agribusiness experience is highly valued.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must, occasionally, lift and/or move less than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision reading computer screens and spreadsheet reports and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay:

$58,188.82 - $70,076.86 per year
