Job Description

Staff Accountant Location:
San Antonio, TX (Hybrid)
Compensation:
$60,000 - $75,000 (depending on experience) Our client, a fast‑growing and highly collaborative organization in San Antonio, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their expanding accounting team. This position is ideal for someone eager to strengthen their accounting foundation while contributing in a dynamic, supportive, and fast‑paced environment. You'll work across a broad range of accounting activities and partner closely with a team that values accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and record journal entries in alignment with GAAP Complete balance sheet and account reconciliations Maintain accurate and timely general ledger activity Support month‑end and year‑end close processes Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules Analyze account variances and investigate fluctuations Help process invoices, payments, and expense submissions Support accounts receivable tasks, including tracking and collections Maintain organized documentation and transaction records Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Assist with prepaid, accrual, and cash account analysis Prepare supporting schedules and audit‑ready documentation Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth accounting workflows Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders as needed Contribute to ad hoc projects and ongoing process improvement initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of accounting experience (internships and early‑career experience welcome) Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting concepts Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with formulas, lookups, and pivot tables is a plus #LI-JM4 #
