Position Overview We are seeking a highly capable and detail‑oriented Accountant to support essential financial operations and uphold the accuracy and transparency of our financial reporting. This role plays a critical part in sustaining the financial foundation that enables our mission to continue. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, sound judgment, and a commitment to supporting a purpose‑driven organization with a long‑standing legacy. Primary Responsibilities Support monthly close activities and ensure timely, accurate completion of all financial tasks Prepare journal entries, invoices, financial statements, and account reconciliations Reconcile sub‑ledgers to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including review of aged receivables Ensure proper recording and payment of vendor invoices Analyze monthly financial results to support accurate period reporting Assist with external audits and collaborate with internal business partners Support annual cost accounting analysis and corporate card reconciliations Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls Participate in special projects, and process improvement initiatives Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and support automation efforts
Preferred Additional Experience:
Familiarity with Citizens Positive Pay and Optima is considered a valuable asset.
