WHAT WE NEED
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant (CPA required or in progress) to join our finance team. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Financial Reporting & Accounting Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts Assist in preparation of internal and external financial statements Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies Support audit requests and coordinate with external auditors Analysis & Reporting Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance Support budgeting and forecasting processes Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within financial data Process Improvement Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems Support automation and efficiency initiatives within finance operations Contribute to the development of scalable accounting practices Cross-Functional Support Partner with operations and business leaders to support financial decision-making Assist with special projects as needed
WHAT YOU BRING
Active CPA license (or CPA designation in progress strongly preferred) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of US GAAP Experience with month-end close and financial reporting Proficiency with accounting systems including ADP, Sage, or similar Advanced Excel skills Additional Assets Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based environments Exposure to multi-entity or multi-state operations Experience with ERP implementations or system upgrades Audit/public accounting experience BCES Global is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to inclusive, barrier‑free recruitment and selection processes.
