Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
: Responsible for accounting and management of Fixed Assets and CIP, including new asset additions, asset disposals, capital budget reporting, and tracking and recording monthly depreciation. Responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, monthly journal entries, monthly accounting close, audit preparation, and ad-hoc analysis. Responsible for completing period-end closings for Enigma Corporation. Other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and process capital invoices, including remodels and new store construction, to ensure correct GAAP accounting classification (capital or expense) and correct project coding for over 200 new CAPEX projects totaling roughly $70,000,000 per year for The Spinx Company, LLC. Ensure compliance with ASC 842 for all lease accounting transactions totaling approximately $14,000,000 for The Spinx Company, LLC., Enigma Corporation, and Ace Energy. Research and resolve issues with facility managers, project managers, and Accounting. Prepare assigned fixed asset-related journal entries and account reconciliations of CIP and asset activity between the Fixed Assets/Projects sub-ledger and the General Ledger and prepare and analyze fixed asset roll-forwards. Responsible for accurate and timely processing of all Fixed Asset transactions in Fixed Asset sub-ledger including additions, capital interest, acquisitions, transfers, retirements, impairments, reclassifications, and per GAAP and company policies for The Spinx Company, LLC, Enigma Corporation, Spinx Transportation, Inc., and Ace Energy. Prepare and record system estimated depreciation of approximately $15,000,000, capitalized interest and capital-labor, and reclassification and adjustment journal entries as needed. Assist with Project Accounting (PA) and Fixed Assets (FA) month-end closing including processing the PA and FA sub-ledger systems, analyzing variances, and preparing monthly reports for The Spinx Company, LLC, Enigma Corporation, Spinx Transportation, Inc., and Ace Energy. Maintain open communication with Construction and other key stakeholders regarding the status of projects. Analyze Balance Sheet fluctuation & Income Statement variances between current month, prior month, prior year, and budget. Ensure development of and compliance with internal controls policies and procedures. Maintain prepaid assets, recurring journal entries, and property tax details at all locations to ensure PPT is calculated and paid accurately for The Spinx Company, LLC and Enigma Corporation. Prepare schedules related to fixed assets and leases to ensure on-time filing of yearly audit reports and tax returns for The Spinx Company, LLC, Enigma Corporation, Spinx Transportation, Inc., and Ace Energy. Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, and/or accounting. Assist Management on various projects/tasks as needed.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. At least 3 years of professional accounting experience. Experience in accounting for Fixed Assets is preferred. Prior accounting experience with general ledger accounting systems and Sage Fixed Assets is preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Effectively present information to customers, associates, and management. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from associates, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
