Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant Intern to join our team. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tax accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced environment. As a key contributor, you will assist in preparing tax returns, supporting audit processes, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to develop their expertise in tax and accounting practices while contributing to meaningful projects that impact our organization's financial health. Duties Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring compliance with current regulations. Support the analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, using accounting software such as QuickBooks Conduct account reconciliations, including general ledger reconciliation and account analysis, to verify accuracy of financial data. Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and interpret financial concepts for management review. Support the team with bookkeeping tasks such as debits & credits entries, accounts payable processing, and budget analysis. Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an undergraduate program in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar tools. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation tasks. Knowledge of tax concepts including tax accounting procedures and regulatory reporting requirements. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and support various projects. Prior experience or coursework related to public accounting or auditing is a plus but not required. $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
