The Opportunity LPM Properties is seeking a detail-oriented, process-driven Staff Accountant to own the full accounting lifecycle for our growing real estate portfolio. This is a high-impact, in-office role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. You will serve as a foundational contributor to the Finance seat on our Accountability Chart, managing daily cash operations, general ledger integrity, multi-entity compliance, and monthly financial reporting — while also cross-training as an essential backup for payroll and investor portal management. Core ResponsibilitiesDaily Cash & Receivables:
Process incoming mail, rent and miscellaneous deposits.Accounts Payable:
Manage the full AP cycle, including COI tracking and 1099 reporting.General Ledger:
Post recurring journal entries (insurance, depreciation, amortization) and manage intercompany activity.Bank Reconciliations:
Reconcile all property and operating accounts monthly.Monthly Financial Packages:
Prepare comprehensive reporting for the CFO and property owners.Compliance:
Prepare and file Sales Tax returns and local compliance filings.Year-End Audit:
Lead preparation of work papers and documentation for annual audit cycles.Backup Functions:
Crosstrain on payroll processing and Invest Next investor portal management. QualificationsEducation:
Associate's degree in accounting or finance required; bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted at the company's discretion.Experience:
2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience; real estate or property management background is a significant plus.Technical:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QBO and the Google platform; experience with property management (Rent Manager) and investor software (Invest Next) desirable.Core Values Fit:
