Revenue Accountant

Description Our growing client is seeking a Revenue Accountant on a contract basis to support revenue accounting activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and assist with close and compliance requirements. This onsite role in the Franklin area will work closely with accounting and finance teams and is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with a strong understanding of revenue processes.

What You'll Be Doing:

+ Perform revenue accounting activities, including recording transactions and ensuring proper cutoff and accuracy + Assist with month‑end close related to revenue, deferred revenue, and related accounts + Prepare and review account reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting schedules + Apply revenue recognition principles in accordance with company policy and applicable accounting standards + Partner with billing, sales, or operations teams to research and resolve revenue‑related questions or discrepancies + Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and explanations + Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and internal controls related to revenue accounting + Prepare ad hoc analyses and reporting as needed by management Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance + 4-6+ years of accounting experience with a focus on revenue or complex accounting areas + Solid understanding of revenue recognition concepts (ASC 606 experience preferred) + Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills + Intermediate to advanced Excel skills + Experience working in an ERP environment + Ability to work onsite and manage deadlines in a fast‑paced, contract setting + Contract, interim, or project‑based experience a plus
