Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant manages day-to-day accounting activities related to business operations and assists in month-end close, as well as supports their divisional Financial Operations manager with staff workpaper review and other ad hoc requests. This position performs basic accounting and financial reporting functions, such as: general ledger entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform basic accounting functions, such as: general ledger entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial reporting . Assists the Support Services manager with review of staff work and any ad hoc requests such as additional analyses for the finance or operations teams. Assists the accounting team in the day-to-day operations of accounting and finance in a fast-paced start-up healthcare environment Performs regular analysis of business outcomes vs prior period actuals and budget Performs bank reconciliations and assists in month end close and fixed assets tracking Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Performs basic data analysis to report recent and historical financial performance Assists in the planning and implementation of various business processes in order to improve and support business processes and activities.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of public accounting experience
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency with standard office software applications (Outlook, Microsoft Office ®) Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with General Ledger (GL) /Accounting software (experience with Sage Intacct is a plus) Strong problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to use technology to collect, manipulate data, determine significant findings, and present information clearly Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while maintaining accountability under strict deadline Specialized Dental Partners, its affiliates, related companies and independently owned supported clinical practices are proud to be Equal Opportunity Employers. The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 per year.
