Job Description

At Humphres & Associates, PC , we've been proudly serving the Nashville area since 1983. As a boutique CPA firm, we offer a personalized and full-spectrum approach to tax, accounting, and business advisory services for a diverse and growing client base across a wide range of industries. We're passionate about helping our clients see the full picture — and we want the same for our team. Here, you won't be stuck in a narrow role. You'll be challenged, supported, and given the tools to grow in both skill and confidence. We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant who is highly proficient in QuickBooks Online . The ideal candidate has a background in public accounting and is comfortable managing the day-to-day accounting needs for a variety of small to mid-sized businesses.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing monthly financial statements Reconciling bank and credit card accounts Cleaning up AR/AP and general ledger issues Handling full-cycle accounting Communicating with clients as needed for documentation or clarification
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in bookkeeping, especially with QuickBooks Online (this is a must ) Prior work experience at a CPA or public accounting firm Highly organized and self-sufficient Strong attention to detail and accuracy Motivated and proactive — you take ownership of your work A collaborative team player who thrives under deadlines
