Senior Accountant

  • 36 per hour Knoxville, TN Onsite Job Description Our Client, a Truck and Engine Manufacturing company, is looking for a Senior Accountant
  • Fixed Assets for their Knoxville, TN/Remote location.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. Record and validate journal entries related to fixed assets and general ledger activity. Maintain and reconcile fixed asset subledgers and related financial systems. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and corporate teams. Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and analysis. Drive process improvements and automation within accounting workflows. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and regulatory requirements. Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business (Accounting concentration preferred) Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred Experience in fixed assets accounting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently and proactively resolve issues Time management and prioritization Critical thinking and decision making Customer focus and stakeholder partnership Positive attitude and continuous improvement mindset
