Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the Company's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities, frequently consolidating information from all locations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain the general ledger: set up new accounts and locations, reconcile accounts Prepare and post monthly and weekly journal entries Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit Prepare monthly sales tax filings Oversee credit card program and Concur expense reporting software Run periodic financial reports Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures Assist in training location-based accounting/administrative team members Ad hoc reporting and trend analyses Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities Thorough understanding of accounting practices and procedures, with ability to explain/train others (typically location based team members) in related practices and procedures Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to multi-task effectively Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field 4-6 yrs. years' experience in accounting CPA or CPA track preferred Proficient to advanced in Microsoft Excel Well versed in GAAP Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time. Sufficient mobility to work in an office setting. Vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Regular phone communications - ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, medical codes or alarms).
