Job Description

Summary/Objectives The Staff Accountant applies principles of accounting to analyze and record financial information in order to prepare financial statements for RJ Young and/or related companies, and prepares account reconciliations for RJ Young and/or related companies. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Complete bank and credit card reconciliations on monthly basis Assist with sales tax preparation Assist with fixed asset records and property tax renditions Complete account reconciliations for all Balance Sheet accounts Serve as back up for A/R Audit document preparation Assist in Month End Close process by preparing journal entries Reviewing weekly check run for errors Census Bureau reporting Other projects and tasks as assigned. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Physical Demands Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days expected to work are Monday
  • Friday and for 40 hours.
There is flexibility in schedule of 7-4 or 9-5. There is rarely weekend or evening work, but there is a possibility during busy times of the month and year. Travel There is no travel related to this role. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting or two to five years of related experience in the accounting profession.
