Job Overview Staff Accountant Savannah, Tennessee | Onsite About American Bath Group American Bath Group (ABG) is a leading manufacturer of bathing and shower products with a nationwide footprint and a commitment to operational excellence. Our accounting team plays a critical role in supporting multiple business entities and ensuring accurate financial reporting across the organization. The Opportunity American Bath Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in Savannah, Tennessee. This role exists to help support the day-to-day accounting workload, strengthen month-end close execution, and provide reliable accounting support across multiple entities. We're looking for someone who can step into a general accounting environment, contribute quickly, and work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization. What You'll Do Prepare and record journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Assist with external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements. Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and production teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned. What Success Looks Like Within your first 6-12 months, you will: Consistently complete assigned accounting responsibilities accurately and on time. Successfully support month-end close activities with minimal supervision. Produce reliable reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals with limited rework. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ownership of assigned responsibilities. Help reduce workload for the accounting team by independently managing routine accounting functions. Become a trusted contributor who can effectively manage priorities in a multi-entity environment. Work Environment Onsite position based in Savannah, Tennessee. Standard Monday-Friday schedule, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Structured accounting environment built around monthly close cycles. Workload increases during month-end close periods. Multi-company environment requiring flexibility, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Team-oriented atmosphere with opportunities to learn and contribute across various accounting functions. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with ERP systems and accounting software. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications CPA certification or progress towards CPA designation. Experience within a manufacturing or other complex business environment.
