The Senior Accountant applies well-established accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices to moderately difficult financial problems. Responsibilities Perform centralized accounting and full-cycle month end close process for assigned business unit and clinic locations Perform general ledger maintenance, financial statement analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, accrual accounting, and variance analysis Communicate and work with operational personnel in field, as well as all levels of corporate management Assist management to ensure proper controls and SOX compliance requirements are met Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements Perform assigned accounting projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experience In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa CPA would be a plus Customarily has at least five or more years of experience in full cycle month end close process, account reconciliation and variance analysis Experience with multi-location and multi-legal entity accounting Experience in a challenging, complex financial reporting environment Oracle or other ERP experience Job Related Skills / Competencies Concentra Core Competencies of Service Mentality, Attention to Detail, Sense of Urgency, Initiative and Flexibilit Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solution Outstanding customer service skills as well as the ability to deal with people in a manner which shows tact and professionalism The ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies Proven ability to communicate in a team environment and with all levels of management Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player Detail oriented and self-motivated Mid-level to advanced Excel skills
