You will drive the accuracy of our financial reporting while ensuring our cost structures and accounting practices align with rigorous federal standards. Responsibilities Direct the full-cycle accounting process, including GL management, payroll, billing, and the monthly financial close to ensure timely reporting. Manage job cost accounting across diverse contract types, ensuring strict adherence to FAR and CAS cost segregation requirements. Partner with cross-functional teams to monitor project budgets, support EAC processes, and track limitation of funds. Prepare audit-ready documentation and serve as a primary point of contact for
DCAA/DCMA
audit inquiries. Coordinate with external tax advisors to facilitate accurate federal, state, and local tax filings and provision calculations. Optimize financial workflows and ERP system performance to enhance reporting efficiency and internal control environments. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 5+ years of progressive experience within the government contracting sector. Expertise in FAR Part 31, indirect rate structures, and project-based cost accounting. Proficiency in GovCon-focused ERP platforms such as Deltek Costpoint or Unanet. Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and data reconciliation. Preferred Skills Active CPA or CMA certification. Direct experience with incurred cost submissions and forward pricing proposals. Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mid-market organizational structure.
