Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Affiliated Foods, Inc. is one of the largest employers in the Texas panhandle and has been in business for over 75 years. We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. This position reports directly to the Controller and will be responsible for the oversight and processing of various accounting functions within the company.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review of financial statements Prepare month-end journal entries Review and management of fixed assets Review and reconciliation of inventory Review and reconciliation of inter-company transactions Prepare account reconciliations, identifying and resolving outstanding items Other general accounting duties or projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements Ability to analyze, trouble shoot, and develop resolution Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with Microsoft Excel Team-player attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the company Experience in transportation or related fields a plus.
