Must be within 60 miles or willing to relocate to our Amarillo Tx. Complex for the summer. Housing assistance is available. Are you ready to jumpstart your career with a summer internship at Tyson Foods? We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounting & Payroll Intern to support our Amarillo Complex. This role offers hands-on experience in payroll operations, administrative support, and financial processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As an intern, you will gain practical exposure to real-time payroll processing, data entry, and cross-functional office operations while contributing to meaningful work that supports our team members and business operations. Key Responsibilities Embody Tyson Foods' RIGHT Behaviors (Respect, Integrity, Growth, Humility, and Teamwork) Support payroll processing through accurate data entry, validation, and reconciliation activities Assist with administrative tasks including record maintenance, reporting, and documentation Apply basic math and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies Collaborate with cross-functional office teams and support coverage across work areas as needed Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines

Contribute to essential payroll and administrative operations supporting frontline teams Our goal is to convert top-performing interns into full-time team members post-graduation, equipped with the skills and experience needed for success. Requirements Education Incoming junior, senior, or graduate student with at least one semester remaining Preferred majors: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field Experience Previous work experience preferred; exposure to office, payroll, or administrative functions is a plus Communication & Professional Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow processes, policies, and detailed instructions Professional, reliable, and collaborative Technical & Analytical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required Basic knowledge of financial or payroll systems (SAP exposure is a plus) Strong data entry accuracy, numerical aptitude, and attention to detail Work Behaviors Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment Strong organization and time-management skills Willingness to learn and cross-train across office functions Work Hours Available to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer Must have flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends based on business needs Location Amarillo, TX (Tyson Foods Complex) Must reside within a commutable distance (60 miles or less) unless relocation is provided Application Requirements Resume must include expected graduation date and area of study
