Job Description
Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a direct hire Accountant for a company located in Southeast Austin (78744). In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations to ensure company financial processes run smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their accounting skills in a professional environment. As an Accountant you'll be responsible for:
- Own and execute the monthly close process (journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements)
- Maintain and manage the general ledger with accuracy and consistency
- Track and analyze COGS, inventory-related costs, and operating expenses
- Ensure proper expense classification and cost tracking across the business
- Perform account reconciliations (bank, credit cards, accruals, etc.)
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows
- Partner with leadership to provide clear, reliable financial reporting
- Assist with audits, tax prep, and external reporting as needed What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 2+ years of full cycle accounting experience (required)
- QuickBooks Online experience -
