This position will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of Efinity Mortgage, including corporate accounts receivable and accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role includes preparation and analysis of Branch and Company level Profit & Loss statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data to support management decision-making. This position is responsible for supporting external CPA and Audit firms by providing requested documentation, schedules, and analysis to ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements. The Staff Accountant will also assist with financial forecasting and ongoing reporting initiatives. This is a full-time position based in the Austin Corporate Office, Monday through Friday.
Compensation:
$65,000 - $70,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Corporate AR/AP:
Manages corporate accounts receivable and accounts payable functions Ensures timely invoicing, collections, and payment processing while maintaining accurate records and controls
Bank Reconciliations:
Performs monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations. Investigates and resolves discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Financial Reporting:
Prepares Branch and Company-level Profit & Loss statements. Assists in monthly close processes and ensures financials are completed accurately and within required timelines
Audit & CPA Support:
Supports external CPA and audit firms by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and assisting with audit requests. Ensures compliance with audit and financial reporting standards
Forecasting & Analysis:
Assists with financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis Provides insights to management to support strategic planning and operational performance
Communication:
Communicates effectively with internal teams, including Finance, Operations, and Branch leadership. Ensures alignment on financial data, reporting expectations, and issue resolution
General Accounting Functions:
Supports ongoing accounting operations, including journal entries, account analysis, and maintenance of the general ledger Miscellaneous duties as assigned
