Accountant

Overview Join our dynamic finance team as an Accountant and play a vital role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records across diverse accounting functions. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of accounting software and financial systems for our company. Most of your day to day operations will be working in quickbooks. Duties Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft, ensuring timely payments and collections. Conduct detailed data entry and account analysis to support month-end closing activities and financial reporting. Oversee payroll management through Payroll Vault, ensuring accurate employee compensation processing. Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly. Support budgeting activities, tax filings, and financial audits by providing detailed reports and documentation. Experience Proven experience in accounting roles within corporate or governmental settings, with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping. Hands-on experience with various accounting software including QuickBooks Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation efficiently. Excellent data entry skills including 10 key typing proficiency for accurate record keeping. Ability to interpret financial data for budgeting purposes, credit analysis, and financial reporting with precision.
